About Penny Press Publications
Our first Penny Press was published April 18, 1973. Penny Press is distributed every Friday from Central Yakima and the Lower Valley to the Tri-Cities and Goldendale. In February 1974 our Thursday Thrifty Nickel was added. The Thrifty Nickel covers all of Yakima and the outlying communities including Selah, Ellensburg and Cle Elum. Total weekly rack distribution is now over 53, 500. Internet publication was added in February 1999. The Automall was introduced in 2007 to better serve the Yakima Valley car dealerships and auto shoppers. This new publication features full color advertisements as well as black and white display ads with competitive prices. In 2009 Penny Press combined the Thrifty and Penny into the new Super Shopper which is distributed from the Tri-Cities to Cle Elum. We also offer a assortment of plastic garbage bags. Penny Press continues to add new products and services to meet the changing needs of our community.
